Santa Paws Charity Fundraiser

Cardigan Buzz played at the Santa Paws Charity Fundraiser on 7 November 2010 at the Conservatory in Franschhoek. The event was to raise funds for the Uitsig Animal Rescue Center. We had a grand afternoon and it felt good to do something for our furry friends.

“On behalf of the Santa Paws Lunch Fundraiser team we would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the event on the 7th November!

I am sure you will all agree that it was a huge success and hopefully a good time was had by all. We are delighted to report that we raised in excess of R37,000 for this most worthwhile cause! In addition to this, you will remember we asked you to bring along a gift of food or blankets for the animals. These gifts filled the Uitsig Animal Rescue bakkie to the brim – thank you to all who gave so generously.

Please don’t forget the animals over the next few months – this is of course traditionally the busiest period for animal shelters, when so many unfortunate pets are abandonded or discsarded by heartless owners who have lost all conception of the true meaning of the season.

Once again thank you all and may we wish you “Happy Holidays”.

The Santa Paws Team”
